McConnell: Judge Kavanaugh will be confirmed to Supreme Court

By Seth McLaughlin= Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday that the Senate is plowing ahead with the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, vowing that President Trump’s pick will win confirmation.

Mr. McConnell urged the attendees at the annual Values Voters Summit not to get rattled by the ongoing fight over Mr. Kavanaugh.

“President Trump has nominated a stunningly successful individual,” Mr. McConnell said at the annual Values Voters Summit in Washington.

“You’ve watched the fight. You’ve watched the tactics. Here is what I want to tell you. In the near future, Judge Kavanaugh will be on the United States Supreme Court.”
The Kentucky Republican said Mr. Trump and GOP-controlled congress are moving the nation in a more center-right

direction, touting their passage of tax cuts and describing the economy as booming.

Mr. McConnell said one of the most consequential decisions he has made from his leadership perch was to delay the confirmation of President Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland,

and then leading the confirmation last year of Neil Gorsuch to the high court. Like i have said since this whole false accusation scenario started. That Judge Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed. The left took their shot and lost big time. #WWG1WGA #WeAreTheStorm
