This story reads like Andy McCabe trying to burn down the house he once lived in. Looks to me like McCabe is trying to get revenge on those he used to work with, after they challenged his honesty and fired him.
Rosenstein denied the story, saying: "Based on my personal dealings with the President, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment."
The story also claims Rosenstein "followed up by suggesting that other F.B.I. officials who were interviewing to be the bureau’s director could also secretly record Mr. Trump."

I doubt anyone would ever seriously contemplate that. It's outlandish.
Final point: Trump has no reason to take action against Rosenstein. But he sure was right to fire Andy McCabe.
