I find it quite remarkable the barrage of "UK Government in Scotland" I receive through vast expense from the public purse (all classed as Scottish spending in GERS).

/6 This one, claiming that the UK armed forces are one of the best equipped in the world (which flies in the face of every conflict we've sent our infantry to in my lifetime)- 4 retweets and 50.2k views for the vid
/7 Now I've seen all these tweets numerous times before. Perhaps you have as well? This one I haven't seen presumably because they aren't spending huge amounts of our money promoting it. 3 retweets & only 271 views. But it's nothing to do with attacking indy so why promote it?
/8 And finally, for a little context- here's a Scottish Government tweet promoting the V&A in Dundee. Promoted the old fashioned way by people retweeting. Interesting wee vid- 436 retweets and (just) 38.1k views.
/9 Now I'm making 1 obvious point &1 less obvious. Fluffy's department are throwing huge amounts of money pushing this shite & even though there are no many folk interested in disseminating, they have a huge reach- far more than the @ScotGov's (presumably unsponsored) tweets
/10 V unscientific but it appears they only pay to promote their tweets which relate specifically to attacking independence. Clearing landmines is interesting enough to tweet but not worth spending money promoting because it doesn't attack independence. 9 retweets and 574 views.
/11 This strikes me as an abuse of public funds. Or is it just the way it is and we have to thole this propaganda dept spending our money to campaign against us?
