The only good thing about 15 hours of airport and airplane time is the books the hours allow you to catch up on. Thanks to all four authors for doing fine work. It’s not as rewarding an endeavor as it used to be to take the years necessary to produce great reads. Appreciated.

From one of military buddies: "A couple points to consider about the Chang'i 4 landing. One, China's space program is controlled by the Party and by their military. There is no civilian aspect to it.
Second, the southern and norther poles of the moon are critical for a number of reasons. One is that there is water there in the form of ice in the permanent shadow of deep craters. This water will be important for building permanent bases on the moon.
Third, the poles are important military positions because there are places at the poles that can always look down on the earth with sensors and weapons. China's landing at the southern pole at the Aiken Basin is a key military strategic achievement.

Whether this is recent DOJ reviews or administration wide reviews, this is never a good thing to see. I feel bad for the ones who were actually doing their jobs and following the rules.
From the summary. Cites that technology advances challenge basically everything they do. That’s a healthy challenge. We should be at the top of the food chain for cyber protection, National security, civil rights protections, prison management, LE/community relationships etc.

Super glad people are talking about abolishing ICE. But worth noting that the agency detaining families at the border is Customs and Border Patrol, which has been casually militarized the border for decades, and violating privacy rights of both immigrants and native born.
For instance, there’s a CBP check outside of Sierra Blanca, TX that everyone going going east on I-10 is stopped at and asked for citizenship status. This has been true my whole life. And if they don’t like the look of you, they’ll search you for drugs, which has happened to me.
It wasn’t until I moved to Austin at 18 that I realized that most people in the U.S. do not experience mandatory stops as the price of intrastate travel.
