Credibility of Swetnik Accusation

1. Think back to your final days in High School. It was finally OVER! I mean it was fun and all, but coordinating house parties around parent vacations, finding booze & SAT's got old. You were finally moving on to the promise land: COLLEGE!

2. No more High School sophomores and juniors tagging along. Your own dorm room with no parents around. And of course, the fabled Epic College Parties.

And aside from growing out of the lame High School Social Scene, you'd be so much more mature, knowledgeable & refined...

3. Now you've been in college a year or two. You definitely partied, but grinding through studies took some work too so it wasn't an endless scene from Animal House. But the combination of living independently, meeting new people & learning new things definitely matured you.

4. You're in your Sophomore or Junior year and you visit home for a weekend, and there's a High School Party. Kinda lame, but whatever - might as well go check it out. So you go and have a few drinks, chat with younger friends you haven't seen in a while...

5. And all of a sudden you look over, and there's a line of 17 year old High School boys rotating into a room taking turns raping a passed out girl who you're sure they drugged. You, the independent and refined 20 year old college student, how do you react?

6. I bet your parents and friends assume you'd step in and say something to these younger kids drugging and raping women, right? Or at the very least, go tell the police or someone who could do something about it, right? ...

7. But ok, I hear you. Times were different. Maybe you were too scared to say anything about this heinous crime you witnessed. Doesn't speak highly of your instinct to selflessly fight injustice, but it's plausible...so, fine..

9. But at the very, very, very least...you wouldn't continue leaving College to attend these lame High School parties where girls are getting drugged and raped, right? And if you did, you certainly wouldn't have your guard down and have it happen to you, right?

10. And God forbid, if you did make a horrible series of mistakes leaving College to attend lame High School parties where you knew girls were being drugged and raped and it happened to you (in '82), you DEFINITELY wouldn't keep going to them for another year ('83), RIGHT?!

11. Apparently, if you're Julie Swetnik, you do:

"Well over 10 house parties" starting in 81

Sees girls being drugged & gang raped in 81/82

Gets gang raped in '82

Continues going to same HS parties in 83.

As a college student.
