2) NSA wasn't spying *on us.* They were spying on RIS, who WERE spying on us. RIS wanted NSA to stop-so they riled the public against our institutions WHO WERE PROTECTING US FROM THEM by exposing what we were doing TO COUNTERACT THEIR ACTIONS.
