The #BoycottTheGuardian is because of ... the Jews. Who woulda thunk it? What a surprise, so shocking.
Such a surprise, so shocking, it's coz of the Jews, innit
Some seem very eager to attach yellow stars to the Guardian (by the way, for anyone interested in the truth, it's not Jews who own the Guardian at all, and the Guardian tends to be pro-Palestinian. But hey, #BoycottTheGuardian because Jews).
Seriously, #BoycottTheGuardian because Jews. Just come out and say it.
So let's look deeper into how the whole #BoycottTheGuardian thang got started! Turns out, it was one person's idea, and as we shall find out, that person has ... vested interests in behaving this way.
Sadly, it must be said, @TheMendozaWoman's accomplishment is .... rather trivial, tiny, and lacking in any real commercial bite, but hey, let's look into those motivations anyway.
Just an aside: do some really not comprehend irony or sarcasm at all? I only ask. Are they so out of touch with reality as to imagine approval of whatever abhorrences they tweet? Just askin'.
A whole #fakenews post to tell us heathen swine why #BoycottTheGuardian is important! Completely made-up! "Mostly-white journalists at the supposedly liberal Guardian newspaper have reacted with outrage at the invitation of The Canary‘s Kerry-Anne Mendoza"…
Spoiler: that didn't happen. A tiny tiny number Twitter reacted with disbelief at the invitation of Mendoza. Of course, reacting with disbelief might well be damned rational. But! Here's the original call to #BoycottTheGuardian!…
But let's not forget! It's the Jews! The Jews!
[who here, in utter defiance of any reality at all, are accused of cooperating with jihadists. No, srsly. Like, wtf lolwut srsly srs biz srsly]
Mendoza has some .... interesting followers. And by "interesting", I mean they're obsessed about Jews.
But let's look at Mendoza's The Canary, a tiny #fakenews site that wants to be THE voice of the British left, Mendoza being all uptight about the Guardian's rather overwhelming presence, and one or two expressing disbelief she got invited to speak.
The Canary. Apart from its habit of making stuff up, like Laura Kuennsberg being invited to address the Conservative Party conference, well apart from that #fakenews, and so on.....
Well! Shocked - shocked! - I say, to discover that The Canary is a really crappy tiny little site, whose business model can be summarized as wanting to be the Alex Jones Infowars of the British left!…
Imagine happily tweeting out a screen grab all about how George Galloway, of all people, is on your side. George Galloway. No, srsly. See the screengrab in the tweet below.
And Mendoza has such fun followers! And they're all, "It's all about the Jews, innit"
New thread! My personal summation of all this weird and wondrous whackiness!
@threadreaderapp unroll, thanks
