WASHINGTON – In a recently published op-ed, Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, describes Chairman Chuck Grassley’s handling of the Supreme Court confirmation process of Judge Brett Kavanaugh as “fair, transparent, and thorough.”
Hatch also notes Grassley’s work ethic, “honesty and integrity” and commitment to Iowans and the U.S. Senate.

“For 60 years, the tough-as-nails and down-to-earth Chuck Grassley has served the people of Iowa with honesty and integrity.
A life-long family farmer, his ingrained work ethic and no-nonsense attitude has brought Iowan values to Washington, D.C. He brings that same grit to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which he chairs.”

“…I trust overwhelming Iowa electorate that returned Grassley to the Senate for the seventh time. They trust him because he works morning, noon, and night to be worthy of their votes.
I’d be hard-pressed to name another senator who respects and revers the sacred institutions of representative government more than Grassley.”

“[Grassley] has long been admired from both sides of the aisle for his fairness, honesty, and integrity. A watchdog for good government, Chairman Grassley is known for holding wrongdoers to account and protecting whistleblowers who come forward with the truth.”

“Grassley has done everything in his power to conduct a fair, transparent, and thorough investigation of these 11th-hour claims against Kavanaugh. No one can honestly challenge Chuck’s good faith in seeking to make Dr. Ford comfortable for her testimony...
despite the surrounding political and personal mayhem. Knowing his long track record of protecting victims and whistleblowers, I’m not surprised.”
