SCOTUS will soon become more conservative (duh!) and less important. How so? Well, SCOTUS looms so large only because over the last half a century Democrats gave up on winning battles in legislative chambers and started using courts instead to legislate.
SCOTUS will soon become more conservative (duh!) and less important. How so? Well, SCOTUS looms so large only because over the last half a century Democrats gave up on winning battles in legislative chambers and started using courts instead to legislate.
As it becomes harder for Democrats to use the courts to impose their preferred public policies, they will have no choice but to either come up with policies they can actually sell to a majority of the American people or at least not litigate losing public policy positions.
With fewer deeply controversial policy positions being adjudicated by the lower courts and ultimately by SCOTUS, judiciary will devolve to its intended & historical role of being the dullest of the three branches of our govt. Hence, MSM will stop talking about it so much.
