The fitness of the Polish judicial system is already under review relating to the European Arrest Warrant.

The politics of this are interesting, to say the least.

Both intra-EU - is Poland really legally fit to be treated equally an EU member?

What is this? Well, per @SkyNews @DLidington will set out a series of measures that is intended to address fears raised by the Withdrawal Agreement that Northern Ireland is going to be treated very differently. See below. /2
@SkyNews @DLidington What's the problem here? Well go back to December 2017 and the Joint Report on Brexit, which was agreed after a DUP walkout forced May to retreat.

So seems point 1 is an extension/elucidation of what @DLidington told #r4today on Dec 14.

FWIW am told by Brussels sources this is now focus of UK 'ask' on reassurances/ clarifications. To set clear aspiration date for trade deal to avoid backstop /1

@DLidington @DavidHenigUK This is not least because even if you think a 'quick and dirty' deal is doable on some aspects (you hear some discussion of this) the UK would STILL need to know what it wanted.

I tweeted about Pilgrim Spy yesterday, but those last two tweets by @guywalters were so bonkers I bought it and... wow. I thought I'd seen some insanity in this field, but this takes it to another level.
So this 'memoir' by a pseudonymous former SAS operative is mainly based around three connected operations during the Cold War. From the off, the articles in The Guardian and The Times raise loads of red flags.
'Tom Shore' told The Guardian he had decided to speak now because 'most of the people involved are dead or long retired, no operational secrets are being revealed, and no lives are being put at risk' and 'without me to tell the story then it’s going to be lost to history.' Okay.
