Nigerians are imbibing that trait now. They love the idea of a superhero of their fantasy that mustn’t aspire or think about anything they don’t approve of. This is why they celebrate you when it suits their sentiments and shred you to bits when you attempt to redefine status quo
Blacks generally are the original from creation. “Adam” wasn’t a name but a description if the etymology of the word is anything to go by. It means solid dark earth. All the other colors emanated from that first man. Little wonder we are the best in anything we focus on.
But we kill ourselves daily for validation from people who are not even half the man that we are while asleep. Ụbọchị amụrụ dike na mba ka amụrụ ibe ya na mba ọzọ. The very day a warrior is born in a certain community, another is born elsewhere. We are all unique.
This is not about racial superiority for those seeking what to be offended by. Tame your stupidity and allow the light of knowledge room to settle. We all share humanity & that is what really counts. Hatred and envy is not tied to race. The heart of man is perpetually evil.
This is a vital point raised here to show how conflicted most people are not just those inflicted with racial, religious or tribal prejudices. We love only that which we can control. Anything with traits of unpredictability scares the hell out of us and cause us to fear.
