Last week senators agreed to confirm 15 judicial nominees (3 Circuit, 12 district) in exchange for the guarantee that the Senate would then recess till after the election.

Despite this, @senjudiciary is holding a hearing for six more nominees tomorrow. #ProtectOurCourts [1/7]
With the Senate essentially empty due to recess, Chairman Grassley is going forward with this hearing without minority consent. #ProtectOurCourts

Our statement [2/7]: buff.ly/2NJXKdh
5 ways the White House & Senate have broken the judicial confirmation process:
1. White House refusal to consult w/ senators
2. Senate refusal to honor blue slips
3. ABA ratings disregarded
4. Careless vetting
5. Packing hearings to limit inquiry

Tomorrow the Committee will hear from Allison Rushing, a 4th Cir. nominee who lacks an ABA rating and the experience required to be an appellate judge. #ProtectOurCourts [4/7]
This Congress, 3 nominees have already received unanimous Not Qualified ratings, and an additional 13 nominees at least partially Not Qualified ratings from the ABA. The American people deserve better. #ProtectOurCourts [5/7] buff.ly/2xf5SMB
Since 2017, the Senate Majority has confirmed more than 80 nominees to lifetime appointments by disregarding the usual vetting process for nominees being considered for lifetime appointments. #ProtectOurCourts [6/7]
White House and Senate Majority are willing to cut corners to promote less qualified and extreme ideologues. Our judges must be fair and impartial to protect the integrity of the courts. #ProtectOurCourts [7/7]
