Scott Walker responds to a question about adapting to climate change by saying he’s an Eagle Scout. Also, apprenticeships. @Tony4WI said the word “science” several times & promised to return Dept of Natural Resources to a board-run agency.
Justice reform: @Tony4WI promises violent criminal should remain behind bars, but wants rehabilitation for non-violent offenders, & to use pardons for current inmates on a case-by-case basis. Walker didn’t get a segment on this subject, which is odd.
The live-tweeters of record for #WIGovDebate are @patrickdmarley and @msommerhauser — I’m cutting up carrots and potatoes & tweeting intermittently.
Is it true, as Walker said again tonight, that federal law bars Wisconsin from offering in-state tuition to DACA recipients? #WIGovDebate
Walker scores some points off @Tony4WI on gasoline taxes, which Evers wants to increase to pay for roads. He won’t say how much, saying he’ll negotiate that after the election. Not a great response. #WIGovDebate
Walker does much better than Evers in the closing statement, hitting all his points and asking people to vote for him. I’ve never understood why any candidate would neglect to do that. #WIGovDebate
