1. To me, the most interesting thing about the flurry of legal action around Cohen, Nat'l Enquirer, Flynn, Manafort, Butina, etc., was how much of it 1) 1has already been reported or 2) could be logically deduced (like that the payoffs of the 2 women were directed by Trump)
2. Because this probe has lasted 2 years, been slow and methodically, with lots of great journalism filling in the gaps, we probably know the broad outline of the Trump-Russia conspiracy. Team Trump will wave the lack of a closing "bombshell" as a red flag that Mueller failed
3. But what Team Trump is really hoping is that Americans have grown numb to what in fact is the most outrageous electoral conspiracy in U.S. history, whose contours have been revealed to us, drip by drip, over the last two years.

1. OK, this is important. There should be no vote on Kavanaugh until investigators -- from Senate Judiciary, or preferably from the FBI -- interview his Georgetown Prep classmate Tim Gaudette
2. Gaudette emerged in today's testimony as the host of the July 1, 1982, party that was -- according to Kavanaugh's calendar -- attended by Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, P.J. Smyth, and "Squi" (apparently Chris Garrett), who apparently was a friend of Christine Blasey Ford
3. Ford testified that the party where she attacked was attended by Kavanaugh, Judge, P.J., and at least one other boy. She also said she saw Judge about 6 weeks later working in a Safeway. According to Judge's writing, he worked there in early-mid Aug., making July 1 viable.

I'm not even surprised waking up to a white supremacist shooting up a synagogue. We have a president that keeps talking about "globalists" and Soros like a typical Reddit antisemite. A guy tried to copycat Dylan Roof in Kentucky this week. Totally normal country. #Pittsburgh
Trump isn't alone in this. We have many prominent GOP members who have embraced this exact kind of thinly-veiled antisemitism. What these people say to the public matters. They're emboldening hate crimes every fucking day.
Y'know @hughhewitt, this is why yelling at a Senator whose entire existence has been focused on fucking over poorer people to the benefit of ultra rich conservative men is *entirely* different than the shit that Trump & his ilk does. Do you fucking understand that now?

I don't care one way or another about the Elizabeth Warren DNA kerfuffle; it's silliness bred of Trump's lunacy, not a serious political matter.

But—*but*—the blowback on Warren is useful as a reminder that facts, science, and really truth of any kind is now anathema to the GOP.
2/ If you're online trying to convince a Trumpist of *anything*—I mean *anything*—stop right now.

The Trumpists' reaction to Warren's DNA test—a cacophony of fact-free insanity about race and DNA and even just *the bare facts of what happened*—tells you you're wasting your time.
3/ I don't see the point in baiting Trumpists, or insulting them, or calling attention to their madness on a daily basis. These people are fundamentally unserious about truth, discourse, and anything resembling a community of ideas. So:

1) Ignore them—completely.
2) Vote—always.

I saw George Takei speak last night about his life and career.
A life that has seen Japanese internment camps, the violence that accompanied the civil rights era, the struggle for LGBT recognition and basic dignities.
