Using the IMF World Economic Outlook DB from the April 2017 I compiled this list of the top 50 countries by GDP Growth (PPP) for 2017 and that country's trade relationship with the EU.

Most of the countries are developing nations on preferential market access (EBA/GSP).

Five countries are in the EU. Poland (not shown) is 51st on the list. I also put the ranking of each country in terms of the value of the growth between 2016 & 2017. Draw your own conclusions on that.

This really disgusts me. Back in 2015 Owen Patterson was promoting Brexit on the basis that we would leave the "political institutions" but remain members of the EEA/Single Market, possibly joining EFTA and be "big players" at the WTO.

@_HenryBolton This complete nonsense. The 20% figure is pure fantasy.

On the majority of goods imported into the UK tariffs don't apply because they are imported:

1 From EU
2 From FTA partners at 0%
3 From developing countries at 0%
4 Under a tariff quota at 0%
5 On a 0% tariff rating anyway
@_HenryBolton Before the UK joined the EEC in 1973 we had tariffs and quota restrictions on non-Commonwealth and even some Commonwealth goods that were higher than the EEC's Common External Tariff, and after Brexit we will still have tariffs. The Dept of Intl Trade has no plans to reduce them.
@_HenryBolton EU tariff rates are on the more liberal side compared to other nations and because of EU Trade preferences and free trade deals they do mot apply in many cases.

The World Bank published a report on trade preferences a few months ago.

This is the UN"s list of Least Developed Countries from UNCTAD (United Nations Trade and Development).

All of these countries automatically qualify for the EU's Everything But Arms programme (EBA) under which all of their exports enter the EU completely tariff-free and quota-free.
@MikeAnson @mkaftermidnight @_JamieWhyte EBA is part of the EU's Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) scheme. Various developed nations have their own version of GSP.

And here, from UNCTAD, is a document which describes each of those GSP programmes and the beneficiary countries.

I tweeted this on June 17th. It's something I rarely speak about on Twitter, I'll do it today.
The JLP has had a helluva run. They have reworked political interaction completely. They were forced to do this (IMO) because of the heavy PNP bias in general media. Their stumbling block became their stepping stone.
(Don't waste my time trying to deny the bias, we all know it)
The bias led to Holness working with and through who I have to admit is a local PR genius, Nesta Morgan. Nesta pulled the administration and JLPs communications inward, and then put it directly to the people. No biased middleman to interfere. This had never occurred before.

This is the type of absolute denial of facts and reality occupying the #MAGA crown. There is no where in America, not one state, where the average gas price is not higher, generally by between 40-50 cents, according to the AAA, not known for faking basic data for partisanship.
The link to where you can see this for yourself is provided. I just looked at all fifty states. No state has longer cost gas today than a year ago. And for this particular statement to be true, the cost would actually need to be approx $1.30-$1.50 cheaper than current averages.
For many places, that would mean it being down by almost 50% or more from the average price. Wherever this half of gas sale is, I’d love to know. So there are two options here: this person lives in the one place in America where gas prices are at $1.75 or so, or they are wrong.
