So I think this is nearly the end of my time with you @Ireland ... it’s been a fantastic experience which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. Apologies if the 8 hour time difference made the posting time a little different than usual!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the content, learned a little about the work of a @dfatirl diplomat & Consulate in the US & got some sense of the enormous affinity Western US has with Ireland. We are 8,000km away from Ireland & sometimes I am amazed at how much it feels like home. 
All of the Irish organizations, the people to people progs, the US businesses with operations in Ireland, the Irish businesses creating jobs here, the academic links as well as the deep familial connections shorten that distance & underpin & enrich our relationship.
For my final tweet, I want to briefly mention the huge role of diplomats’ spouses & families in the work we do. You’ll have seen this week that our work can involve long hours, early mornings, late evenings, traveling & events #working4Irl
My experience is that spouses & partners of @dfatirl colleagues go the extra mile to support this work. They are frequently the unsung heroes & I think it’s important to recognize their enormous contribution, incl that of my own wife @CaoimheNiCh. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
