8.57am: Just finished my night shift. I slept on the couch in the Doctor’s Mess (rest room) last night in cold as I was so tired. At the end of my shift, an Eastern European cleaner approached me and prepared a cup of tea.
She said, ‘Doctor, you look so tired. When you come back to work tonight, I’ll prepare the sheets and a pillow for you’. Then, she gave me a hug.
That actually put me in tears for some reason after having such a busy night. This is what we need, random act of kindness to a stranger. ❤️
