People keep asking what they can do to fix things. Here is a start. Get involved with your local party. Understand that state gov is the place that controls voting laws and how the votes are counted. Being independent is fine but it's the parties that still control the ballotbox
Start funding candidates for 2020. You know the Dems have already started. Pay attention and keep a record of all your representatives votes and words. They want you to forget by election day.
Run for local office if you are inclined to do so. 2020 is going to be a barn burner.
In short invest your time, money and/or sweat. You will see the biggest impact for your efforts at the local level but all effort is good. Attend meetings that are open to the public. Information is your weapon of choice.
