Has anyone (first hand and fixed) dealt with Safari blocking cookies from a backend server because of this setting? It’s blocking the login cookies from my frontend to my backend
So an update on this, HUGE help from @luisrudge in pinning this down.

If I run the app on my own domain, it works 100%

frontend.myapp.com / backend.myapp.com

If I run on now.sh

frontend777.now.sh
backend777.now.sh

cookie is blocked
@luisrudge What I’m hearing from people is that if you set the cookie on the root domain, it should work.

SO - maybe something on now.sh or cloud flare is goofing up the cookies / not allowing it.

Going to try turn on cloud flare for my own domain
Wow, so now.sh, herokuapp.com and a few other hosts have their domains as “public suffix” which means .now.sh is just the same as .com, which means you can’t set a cookie for an entire TLD.

Reminder that the acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker is a former tight end for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He was opposed to the Mueller investigation in August 2017 & he will not be recused from any investigations.

Trump also considered him to replace Don McGahn recently.
As far as all the Jeff Sessions bashing goes. Jeff appointed Whitaker for this exact reason. He was forced to recuse himself from the Russian investigation after he was made a target for his interactions during the campaign. It gave Sessions the space to work on other issues.
Jeff Sessions had a specific mission from the start and he quietly went about his business strengthening our borders, attacking MS-13, and cracking down on trafficking. He did his job but was "damaged goods" in the eyes of many due to his recusal.

#UPDATE on Smile Communications service outage. At an arbitration meeting between Smile Communications & Eaton Towers held at UCC, the meeting resolved administrative issues that recently affected the delivery of communication services to Smile customers.

In an arbitration meeting between the two Smile Communications and Eaton Towers (infrastructure provider), it was agreed to reconnect all Smile sites that had been previously switched off to the benefit of all stakeholders concerned & this was done even before the meeting ended.
The parties to the arbitration agreed to sign a temporary addendum to allow re-connection and service restoration pending conclusion of the ongoing negotiations for a new service provisioning agreement.
