one time my (at the time) 62 y/o mathematician father got into a flame war on a Russian language poetry forum, with a dude who wrote horrible purple prose about how much he wished he'd been a cavalry officer for the whites in the Civil War
that dude had the handle of something like Kolchack or something equally asinine and my father's was like "a simple fry cook"
Kolchak would post these absolutely ridiculous multi stanza pieces lionizing Nicholas 2 and the royal family and my father would post the equivalent of bawdy limericks just absolutely shitting on this dudes effortposting
my father was eventually perma banned.

most of the stuff my dad wrote was Actually Funny too, referencing everything from like, Rambo movies to Pushkin
kind of wish I had waded in and explained how to be a good troll on forums but I don't think he'd have listened, F
oh just to be clear the entire flamewar was conducted in bad poetry and limericks, my father had a gimmick account which he somehow worked out for himself to do
the takedowns were masterful too. like a chisel with the kinetic energy of a freight train, passing through lukewarm cheese
