This is comical. August 2017 @SenBlumenthal @SenWhitehouse co-sponsored bill to ensure action by AG or ACTING AG was reviewed by federal judges. Today they’re suing saying Acting AG appointment is unconstitutional🤣

In fact they even bragged that the bill they were trying to pass would PREVENT @realDonaldTrump from using the vacancies act. So earlier this year Democrats knew this was an option but now they’re saying it’s unheard of? GTFO.
So what changed @SenBlumenthal you knew an Acting AG would have the exact same power as Sessions and wanted to prevent that but now you say Acting AG appointment is illegal? 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Perhaps the best argument about this bill was raised by @senorrinhatch who reminded Senate they’d been down this road before and reminding them it is “NEVER appropriate for Congress to contravene the Constitutions separation of powers”

Democrats KNOW Acting AG can be appointed by @realDonaldTrump @RepJerryNadler made an entire speech about it and called it a fear in September of this year. Yet now they want us to believe it’s outrageous.

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation

THREAD: What should we make of the Nunes memo? (Short answer: Not much.)
1/ Today, with Trump's authorization, the Nunes memo was released. I just reviewed the memo and I'll walk you through it, but my initial reaction to the memo was "this is it?" It's very underwhelming, given the amount of hype and vitriol directed at the FBI and DOJ based on it.
2/ One piece of context that you need to have as you read the memo is that FISA warrants are approved by judges who read a whole lot of information that is presented to them with an application. They're lengthy and contain a lot of evidence.
