Before you set off to celebrate with family, friends, and loved ones, I wanted to let you know how thankful I am for all of you.

Together, we did something amazing this year–we won back a Majority in the House. Come January, that Majority will fight for our values & priorities.
We must remember all those who cannot spend this day with their families. For all our military men and women fighting to protect our liberty, and all the family members who love and support them, we will be forever thankful for your sacrifices.

I was Speaker when we passed the Affordable Care Act that has given millions of Americans newfound coverage and protected over 100 million people with pre-existing conditions. At the same time, I have watched as Republicans railed against it.
I watched as Republicans in Washington forced over 60 votes to repeal and/or undermine people's health care. Now, they want to run around the campaign trail and claim they're in favor of protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions? I don't think so.
Paul Ryan and Republicans didn't seem to care about the health care of young children or seniors and the skyrocketing cost of prescription drug prices. They VOTED to destroy pre-existing condition protections, slap those aged 50-64 with an Age Tax and increase the uninsured rate.

I have made some very powerful, rich enemies because I have been highly instrumental in passing Dodd-Frank, a big energy bill, and the Affordable Care Act which has extended health care to over 20 million people and protected over 130 million with pre-existing conditions.
The special interest, dark money groups are relentlessly spending millions spreading falsehoods about me because they and Republicans in Washington have nothing to run on. They're bankrupt of ideas.

But I'm focused on winning big for the people.
My faith is renewed every time I speak with a woman marching for her right to access reproductive care.

My faith is renewed every time I see families standing up for their immigrant neighbors against discriminatory and inhumane "zero-tolerance" policies.

In late-August of 2010, my dear first-cousin was diagnosed with inoperable, non-curable, small-cell lung #cancer. He and I were raised like #siblings and cared for one another as brother and sister, a very close-knit family.
My #cousin was an amazing man, husband, and father to twin boys; who were only 14 when he died in September 2017. He died at his home, surrounded by his family and friends…just how he’d wished.

If you believe the 2nd Amend is in place so that everyday citizens can protect themselves against the military taking over & controlling its citizens, as a vet, it shows how little knowledge & respect you actually have for the military you profess to love.
Ours is an all volunteer force, we love our country with it's faults. And it’s why we all made the choice to serve of our own free will. Every member of the armed services takes an oath to defend against all enemies foreign & domestic.
So the idea that those members who fight & die, would then turn against their family, friends and loved ones that we travel the earth to defend and protect, again only shows a mind blogging level of advanced stupidity which you have about your own military.
