In case anybody wants to see nice stuff on this website, here’s a tiny lil thing that made my heart sing tonight: My pod-friends @MagicTavern invited me to do their live show with them tonight in Chicago. I’ve never done their live show, and they all have these cool costumes 1/??

A few days ago @morepeoplehappy asked me if he could help procure me some costume pieces since he knew I was flying in. Which, first of all, SO KIND to offer to get this stuff FOR me. I asked for elf ears and uh maybe a vest? (Idk what murderous, half-elf restauranteurs wear).

I get to the venue and not only has he gotten a variety of ear sizes, but he hands me the ears—which are all that rubbery, plastic, flesh color—and says “I’m sorry, I looked all over, but they only make Caucasian colored elf ears.” (3/who cares)

And then hands me a foundation palette of multiple (upwards of five. Maybe SIX) shades of brown, so I can make them look more natural. 👀

I may have made a huge deal out of it. It was seriously so SO touching. (4/I don’t know)

It’s such a small thing. But so thoughtful. I mean. Of course, I wouldn’t have assumed they sold multi ethnic elf ears at the damn Party City on Western ave. But just he fact that he thought to look for them was so kind. Let alone find a solution? Unheard of. (5/2018)

It really took me back to being a kid in a dance recital—you know, when a woman named Sandy hands you some “nude” tights and you go out to do your tap number to Donna Summer’s ‘Bad Girls’ with cement-gray ghost legs and the mean ballet girls ask you “if you have a weird disease”

Anyway. This was nice and made me feel nice and just, thanks to cool people for being cool. Okay, here’s a pic before I browned em up. And I’m realizing now that they look like... pig vaginas? So, sorry, this thread is #nsfw I guess. (10/10)
