Big news, little noticed: We’ve launched our last satellite,” John Donovan CEO of AT&T Communications said in a meeting with analysts on Nov. 29. AT&T owns DirecTV, the US’s largest satellite company—and second largest TV provider overall, behind Comcast. google.com/amp/s/qz.com/1…
In 2017, AT&T lost 554,000 satellite video subscribers, and it continued to hemorrhage customers this year, according to company filings.
“He’s not going to launch more satellites,” AT&T’s top boss, chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson, said of Donovan. "We’re kind of done.”

But some businesses just do the losing money part. A critical skill is knowing the difference between the two types.
Customer-based corporate valuation (CBCV) = valuing a business on a "bottoms up" basis by valuing the customers. In a subscription business especially, this is an essential process if you want to understand if real value is being created despite a lack of current GAAP earnings.
"CBCV isn’t about being profitable from day one. It’s about variable profitability in net present value terms (while still being mindful of fixed cost overhead of course!)" Determining whether a specific business is a delicious cheesecake or a turd requires detective work.

I turned up in them. I know. It's nuts.
In them a staffer at the Center for American Progress emailed Podesta and billionaire Tom Steyer to brag about getting me removed as a writer for Nate Silver's 538.

1. BIG news here! So Axios has seen a GJ subpoena Mueller sent a witness. Mueller subpoenad ALL communications said WITNESS had with: Page, Lewandowsi, Trump himself, Hope Hicks, TRUMP'S BODYGUARD Keith Schiller (SURPRISE!),Cohen, Manafort, Gates, Stone & BANNON.
2. Mueller is asking for ALL communications the witness sent and received regarding those people from NOV.1, 2015 TO PRESENT.
Question: WHO is this witness?
3. This person is a WITNESS and was SUBPOENAD. It can't be Kushner, bc Kushner is a target, not a witness. Not to mention his lawyers wouldn't give that up.
