In FULL METAL JACKET, Kubrick provided the voice for an off-screen character named 'Murphy.' In UNDER SIEGE 2, directed by Geoff Murphy, Kurtwood Smith plays 'Stanley Cooper,' seen here in the final shot of the opening credit sequence, with Murphy's credit floating above Cooper.
UNDER SIEGE 2 released in theaters July 14, 1995, while FULL METAL JACKET first received limited release on June 26, 1987—there were exactly 420 weeks between the two.

Note how in the earlier screenshot from UNDER SIEGE 2, the laser lights appear to make the outline of another person inside the body of Stanley Cooper, while Murphy's credit floats above. Is Murphy Stanley Cooper or is Stanley Murphy? Murphy-Cooper? Why does that sound familiar?
