Isn’t the play here for Fox to eventually buy the new CRTV-Blaze entity, giving them access to B-level rather than C-level talent for their streaming setvice? 
This seems like a fairly obvious endgame if Fox discovers that there is a limited audience for shows hosted by mediocrities like Toni Lahren, Todd Starnes, and David Webb mediamatters.org/blog/2018/11/2…
There are some problems with this. The merger probably means Fox would need bring back Glenn Beck, whose conspiracy theories, fearmongering, and bigotry had triggered an advertiser exodus from his Fox show.
But Fox Nation is by design a subscription-based service that does not rely on advertisers, so that may be less of a worry. And obviously in the post-Seth Rich era Fox is not concerned with whether its platforms are used for promoting conspiracy theories.
