It’s embarrassing that WaPo, and this reporter in particular, keep doing this. They keep citing former Obama aides to suggest Trump is doing something wrong when he does things that are completely standard and consistent with what was done by previous Presidents (including Obama)
Nakamura did the same thing with the cancelled cemetery visit in France, citing criticism from former Obama aides, before responsible reporters intervened with the truth.
And no, the fact that they now added the admission from Michelle Obama that Secret Service would often require them to take a motorcade to visit Blair House near the end of the article doesn’t make it better. It simply shows why the article should have never been written.
