I've been taking a deeper look at some of the companies that handle voter registration data and systems.

I'll start with VR Systems in Tallahassee FL. That name may be familiar because that company was the object of an attack by Russian hackers in August 2016.

QUESTION: These databases are continuously updated by county election officials. How do we know for sure that this malicious third party did not perform their own "updates"?

This question is particularly relevant in light of what happened in Durham County NC on November 8, 2016. Long story short - there was chaos at the polls.

Six large, heavily Democratic precincts experienced major problems with their electronic poll books. Voter after voter showed up to vote on election day, only to find that the system was erroneously reporting that they had already voted. newsobserver.com/news/local/cou…

A few hours after the polls opened the county decided to switch to paper poll books. Voting was halted for nearly two hours at one of the precincts. A number of voters left without voting.

The details of this report are truly disturbing. The summary of the report claims "the EviD application did not fail during the election". This conclusion is very odd, considering the details of the report.

Today's thread of NC 'early votes' as of 10-24-18 (note 2 different types: by mail & one-stop/in-person).

So far, 789K requests have been made for absentee ballots (both mail & in-person).

Of those, 716K have been returned & accepted (both mail & in-person).

Regarding NC accepted in-person ballots (that will be the majority of absentees): as has been noted over past few days, 2018 seems more of a 'presidential' year than a traditional mid-term.

But, 2018's daily total is beginning to slip behind 2016's daily total

2018's NC accepted absentee in-person ballots is at 93% of where 2016 stood this same day (reminder: one more extra day in 2018 than 2016).

Compared to 2014's final #s, 2018 is now 63% of that mid-term's final tally of a little over 1M absentee in-person ballots

Seems like solid start to NC early voting for next 18 days (longer than in 2010 & 2014). Will need more data to see though

Registered Democrats: 43% (compared to 38% of total reg as of 10-13)

Reg GOP: 31% (29% of total reg)

Reg unaffiliated: 26% (31% of total reg)

There are very specific federal and state laws that govern the voter registration databases built and maintained by each state. Hang on to this thread, you will want to refer back to it as we fall deeper into the Rabbit Hole.
Lets start with the 1993 National Voter Registration Act, also known as NVRA, or the "motor voter" law. NVRA tells the states what they must do to maintain accurate and current voter registration lists.

We know that DHS warned at least 21 states that their voter registration databases were targeted by Russian government hackers seeking vulnerabilities and access to the U.S. election infrastructure.
We also know that DHS didn't notify the States being Targeted until October of this year. We know that the States Control their Voter Registration Files. So if the States didn’t know they were being targeted how the hell did DHS know that the files were not touched?
Why was Russia Targeting Voter Registration Systems from as early as last February and in some States through December two months after the Election?
