Long story short, Kian and Alptekin worked covertly at the direction of the Turkish government to secure Fethullah Gulen's extradition. They engaged in an $80,000 kickback scheme. Flynn knew that Turkish officials were being briefed on the project, but he is not charged.
Here is one of the main email exchanges I had on March 8, 2017 with Ekim Alptekin. He falsely denied having anything to do with the infamous Flynn op-ed. He denied receiving a kickback. He falsely claimed he did not arrange UNGA meeting.
