Expanded my horizons the most: OK Computer

Took my musical tastes the furthest afield: The Richard D. James Album
Prior to OK Computer I had no taste in music to speak of. And I didn't GET Radiohead, but people whose taste I admired told me it was great, so I listened to it again and again and again...

until I eventually fell in love with it.
It wasn't as hard to get into Aphex Twin after Radiohead opened me up to stuff outside of, I dunno, blink-182 or whatever I was listening to. But The Richard D. James Album, that altered my whole idea of what constituted "music."

There are two easy responses to CK's complaint that today's young are boring because their idea of rebellion is talking about pronouns.
First: I understand, to your generation, that Millennials are forever seventeen, but most of the people talking about pronouns are in their twenties and thirties, and they aged INTO it, you has-been.

This is why I don't title videos "Has Cultivation Theory Been Disproven?" and suchlike. More people will see the title than will hear the argument and come away thinking the wrong thing.
Framing your argument such that it will be properly understood is often at cross purposes to how The Algorithm wants it phrased, which will be covered in a future video.

Innuendo Studios Year in Review:
This year I had a video break 1 million views for the first time. Just this morning, another video did as well. A third is on track to break a mill in Q1 2019.
My channel broke 100,000 subscribers.

In fact, I did the math and gained roughly 70,000 subs this year, which is about the same as my entire career to this point.

So in 2018 I doubled my sub count.

Music industry wasn't just anti-tech

By 2000, they were addicted to inflated revenue: album bundling and illegal price fixing meant you payed $15 for a $10 album to get a $1 song.

Even if $1 songs replaced piracy, revenue would fall by ~90%. More for fixed price streaming.
Recording industry couldn't adapt to the internet because >90% of their revenue was artificially inflated.

$15 albums online won't kill Napster. iTunes/Spotify may, but that is almost as bad.

Lesson: Bezos-style thin margins mean your rev model can't be used against you
Regarding the music industry fixing prices:

In about 1985, group think that out of hospital was good and in hospital is bad started. It’s a falsehood. It’s just a massive rabbit hole.

Hospitals are integral to our community and our society.

They are usually a towns biggest employer. They provide prosperity through tax. They teach, are full of professionals offering qualified clincj advice. 99% of the work done in them is righteous.

Since 2009, they are now decaying.
