Innuendo Studios Year in Review:
This year I had a video break 1 million views for the first time. Just this morning, another video did as well. A third is on track to break a mill in Q1 2019.
My channel broke 100,000 subscribers.

In fact, I did the math and gained roughly 70,000 subs this year, which is about the same as my entire career to this point.

So in 2018 I doubled my sub count.
After treading water most of the year, my Patreon got a sizable bump in the last couple months, allowing me to make savings for the first time since starting YouTube.

Also broke 1000 patrons this year.
As a less number-crunchy accomplishment, making the 8-part Fury Road dissection, Bringing Back What's Stolen, is probably the most fun I've had MAKING a video since the Smash vid in 2015.

I don't have enough distance from it to assess its quality, but it was a blast to write.
It was also heartening watching so many of my colleagues and inspirations making some of the best work of their careers (see previous thread).

On the world stage, if 2017 was a nightmare, 2018 was like a fever dream? Things kept getting worse but the pushback against what is awful seemed to get stronger, more focused, and more organized. I felt less out to sea this year, even as everything is still bad.
It's always a mixed bag having personal successes in a year when so many are suffering, and when so much of what's wrong spares people like me.

Just know that I am trying to put my success into fighting for the people getting screwed.
So that's 2018. Thanks for the memories. Fight like hell in 2019.
