Pat Roberts was the only United States Senator in the Capitol today for a just-for-show session. Says he's beyond frustrated and shutdowns never work.
"There could be more money upfront, just not quote 'the wall' or 'the barrier' or 'the fence' or 'slats' or whatever we want to call it," Pat Roberts said.
"LBJ said sometimes you just have to hunker down like a jackass in a hailstorm and just take it. That's about where we are," a "beyond frustrated" Pat Roberts on the shutdown he doesn't like.
