For those who want an investigation into the deaths of little children in @CBP custody, here's an honest question:

Will you tolerate ANY TRUTHFUL RESULT?

Suppose that investigation reveals that a poor little girl was subjected to severe physical neglect during the journey north? That, essentially, she was walking dead when she arrived in the USA, due to parental NEGLECT.

Suppose that investigation confirms reports that a poor little boy died after his father refused further medical treatment for his son? That, essentially, his death resulted from parental NEGLECT.

These are reasonable questions to ask you now.

The fact is, if you search online news sites, such as news.google.com, you will find dozens of cases annually of children suffering and/or dying as a result of parental neglect.

Dozens of parents arrested.

Dozens of parents prosecuted.

For ignoring medical conditions, for failing to provide food, water, heat, and education.

EVERY YEAR.

So, then, suppose that "investigations" reveal that the fathers in either of these cases caused or contributed to the deaths of their own children, will you be supporting their prosecution for child neglect? Child endangerment? Negligent homicide?

And, if you can't answer that question with a firm, "Of course," then is that because NO PARENT, no matter with what evil intent, no matter with what disregard, should ever be further punished after the death of a child?

Or do parents that drag small children across a desert and enter a country illegally somehow deserve one free bite at the "I caused my own child's death" apple?
