As promised, here comes my second list of people who create things that I get value from.

I call this one "Refreshing Voices," because they handle themselves in a way that, in my opinion, stands out from the echo chamber of business and entrepreneurship advice.
@nickd – Nick Disabato runs draft.nu and has always been a refreshingly authentic voice in my inbox. I love that his life is more than "just work," but he is still a master of his craft.

I pre-ordered Nick's new book Value-Based Design and highly recommend it.
@sol_orwell – I respect the hell out of Sol's journey building examine.com and absolutely love his personal newsletter. His advice is candid and backed by experience, which means it glows red hot on my radar. Can't wait to see what he does in 2019.
@thepatwalls – Pat has been a big inspiration to me in 2018. From his personal 24hr startup experiment to a larger, community-based sequel, I've loved watching him ship a bunch of cool stuff...all while holding down a day job! I want to implement more working in public next year.
@tylertringas – I can't wait to see what Tyler does with earnestcapital.com. So far, I think he strikes the perfect balance of operator, strategist, and mentor. If things go as planned, I think this will be a breath of fresh air for the bootstrapper community.
@iamashley – I love following Ashley's journey because she works in an "unsexy" industry that is riddled with bureaucratic red tape. She shares her successes and challenges in excruciating detail, which is an instant win in my book. youtube.com/channel/UCJdtc…
@CasJam & @JordanGal – Putting these two together because I mainly follow their work through their podcast, bootstrappedweb.com. Again, these guys are super candid and transparent when discussing the demands of running their businesses, and I greatly enjoy every minute of it.
@RyanSerhant – Ryan is a welcome relief from some of the more aggressive "sales gurus" out there. I bought his book "Sell It Like Serhant" and finished it in a couple of days. I will always remember, "People hate to be sold to, but they love shopping with friends" because of him.
@pjrvs – I pre-ordered Paul's book "Company of One" and can't wait to dig in. I've never bought into growth at all costs, and I'm expecting Paul's stance to be one that I can both identify with and learn a great deal from. His newsletter is also 10/10: pjrvs.com
@natekontny – Nate has an awesome daily vlog where he shares all kinds of interesting things related to life, business, and everything that exists in between. I love his curious mind and the way that he tests ideas and handles challenges/setbacks. youtube.com/channel/UCkoJL…
@beingfreelance – Steve's weekly vlog and podcast are must consumes for me. A lot of people produce content for freelancers, but few actually let you look over their shoulder while they go about their day. His transparency and optimism are infectious. beingfreelance.com
@ransegall – Ran's vlog is a solid balance of technical wisdom (design), teaching/mentorship, and behind-the-scenes insight. He's not afraid to share the good and the bad sides of being a solopreneur, and I love coming along for the ride. youtube.com/channel/UCN7dy…
@jasondoesstuff & @ckelso – These two take transparency to the next level. I love how they mix the "business" stuff with the "life" stuff. That's how things actually shake out and many people don't give their audience the full picture. youtube.com/channel/UCB7ZY…
That wraps up my list of "Refreshing Voices" in the business and entrepreneurship space. It's not exhaustive, but it's an accurate reflection of the people and publications I'm vibing with heading into 2019.

Can't wait to see what they do next year!

Next: "Makers to Watch."
