In dissecting the nature of humans, it becomes clear that there is no such thing as a "person"
There are only habits, traits, reactions, beliefs, ego, and conditionings
Collectively, these are referred to as a "person"
Habits reacting to habits
Beliefs reacting to beliefs
Reactions reacting to reactions.
A path from which he cannot escape
For no person can possibly meet a man's needs
Because neither the needer nor the needed exist
So what to say of the need?
It takes a devastating toll on a human being's life
The lifeblood of attachment is the idea of personhood.
He needs nothing. For he realizes there is nothing to receive.
He gives nothing. For giving only arises when something has first been taken away.
The giving and taking occurs of its own accord, in its own proportion.
He acts from a place of Non-Reactive Spontaneity
He acts from a place of Non-personhood
Thus, his every action, right or wrong, good or bad, fruitful or fruitless
Is Pure.
He will avoid the pains and plagues of a common life
As he walks across the Earth, he will walk along the edges of hurricanes and the shores of torrential seas
Standing witness to their magnificence
But untouched by them.
Who recognizes that this Earth is not his true home
And that this life is but a passing season.
As such, he will not plant roots or build legacies
For he recognizes that neither this life or the earth it is lived upon
Can be owned.
There must be an owner.
If he succumbs to the idea of becoming an owner . . .
If he succumbs to the notion of personhood . . .
He becomes mortal
And his free life of an innocent wanderer
Becomes an endless struggle for survival
Namaste.
