The desire to help always exceeds the "helpee's" desire to be helped
A person's emotional plea as to what he should do in his situation is, in actuality, a plea for commiseration
The Master understands that human beings are "unreachable," thus he does not attempt to reach them
If one lends his shoulder, it will compel the other to lean excessively upon it
A man who lies flat on the ground and asks for help, has no interest in rising
The man who by herculean effort rises to one knee, is Sincere in his request
99.999 percent of human beings will die having never gained wisdom. They will have lived a life of ignorance. They will have wasted their life
It has been this way even in the days of Jesus and Buddha
If he succumbs to the traditional meaning of "selflessness" he will pay for it with his life
The truly selfless man is the man who is intensely sparing with his help. Reserving it only for the desperate and genuine few
These do not "help" anyone
They are painful reminder of how shallow human beings have become
And how immune they are to wisdom
It is because they will do anything and everything to avoid having to face their own insecurities
Human beings are human beings. Seen as such, one does not succumb to their clever games
The greatest way to help another is to perfect oneself
For, in the end, all great things are Side Effects
