Dear 116th Congress, Here is what we want from you:

⦁Take drastic action to save the planet. Restore all clean air, clean water, fuel emission standards. Rejoin the Paris Accord. Promote green energy and stop subsidizing oil, gas and coal. Subsidize carbon farming. Put a moratorium on new factory farms. Stop subsidizing big
agribusiness. Replace gas and fuel taxes with a carbon tax. Open the electricity market to competition. Subsidize renewable energy.
⦁Ban all semi automatic weapons and large magazines. Compel universal registration and bar felons and domestic abusers from owning guns. Outlaw stand-your-ground laws. Track and report gun statistics.
⦁Get private money and corporate money and dark money out of politics. Pass government funding for elections. Outlaw PACs. End Citizens United.
⦁Severely curtail lobbying and pass a law prohibiting any member of Congress from lobbying (or working for a lobbying firm) for 5 years before and after their term in Congress.
⦁Find a way to strictly enforce the 501(c)3 and (c)4 ban on politicking, with penalties. Enforce separation of church and state by changing the tax free status of all religious organizations that engage in politicking.
⦁Find money to fix Puerto Rico and Flint, Michigan.
⦁Investigate and prosecute the present and former miscreants in Trump's cabinet, cabinet departments and White House.
⦁Sanction everyone Mueller names as having interfered in our election including Putin, Deripaska and any Qataris, UAE or Israeli nationals. Sanction King Salman and Mohammed bin Salman for killing Khashoggi.
⦁Aim for universal, one-payer healthcare but meanwhile, restore all the provisions of Obamacare. Protect Planned Parenthood.
⦁Institute a 200% tax surcharge on the highest incomes of individuals and corporations until such time as you can completely overhaul the tax code.
⦁Remove the wage cap on Social Security taxes.
⦁Withhold taxpayer money for all private prisons and private elementary and secondary schools.
⦁Finish the Kavanaugh investigation.
⦁Impeach Clarence Thomas for his sexual misconduct.
⦁Remove the debt ceiling so we don't have unnecessary drama every year.
⦁Help and encourage states to bypass the Electoral College.
⦁Restore Net Neutrality.
⦁Restore Dodd-Frank.
⦁Bring back the Fairness Doctrine.
⦁Restore Meals on Wheels
⦁Restore Student Loan Debt Forgiveness.
⦁Prosecute all the people who lied to Congress including Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump Jr., Jeff Sessions, Jared Kushner, Erik Prince, Kristjen Nielsen.
⦁Make the Violence Against Women Act permanent.
⦁Restore all provisions of the Lilly Ledbetter Act.
⦁Retake all the Federal lands Trump and Zinke sold for a pittance or permitted to be mined.
⦁Put more teeth into the anti-trust laws and enforce them.
⦁Institute severe penalties for hate crimes or comporting with a hate group.
⦁Pass a law halting all Congressional, White House and Cabinet Officer salaries (including staffers) during a government shutdown.
⦁Institute term limits for Congress.
⦁Prevent the wide spread insider trading that takes place in Congress.
⦁Fund a cyber security force that is able to prevent, anticipate and counter-act cyber threats such as Russia manipulating our elections.
⦁Start a dialogue with all factions in both houses of Congress to find some solutions to the way forward on immigration.
⦁Pass the Equal Rights Amendment. It's way past time.
⦁If you're at a loss where to get the money for this list, start with the Defense Budget. If they can mislay trillions of dollars, this list is a pittance.
