Some have asked for the process to get rooftop solar subsidy, so a short thread.
Requiremts
1. Must be a LA1A 1 user consuming 500+ units in a billing cycle
2. 150 sq ft shadow free roof area
3. AADHAAR, Tangedco card.

TEDA (Tamilnadu Energy Development Agency) site has a link for CMvs rooftop subsidy scheme.
The list of empaneled vendors is alos there,talk to few of them baseed on your locality check if they can do the work.
Some of them may want to visit the site to check feasibility.

Then you can fill the online application form with details of yiur Power connections, meter, AADHAAR etc., and a JPG of your latest photo.(Keep a few xerox copies of these things ready)
You can choose the vendor or ask the TEDA to choose the vendor.

You will get an application number save this.
If your application is accepted then you will get an allotment order. Print this and keep.
Then the vendor will supply his equipment and do the installation.

The vendor will send the subsidy bill to you for authorization.
You endorse it, and also make a request to TANGEDCO for new meter.
You have to pay your share to the vendor before installation by NEFT/Cheque.

TANGEDCO will take their own time. Be patient and prod them occasionally.
They will take the last reading from old meter and install new reverse meter.

Only the meter installation has to be streamlined.
Now the AE will inspect the solar/inverter connections and then send a quote for new meter to EE, who will then release it.
We have to pay for the new meter separately 6K+GST.
