Am I crazy? Or has there actually been a pronounced DOWNTURN in pro-Trump troll activity since last night’s NYT bombshell?
Are they caught on the back foot, trying to regroup?

Or is a more ominous stage of the attack under plan?
Another possible - could NYTs new ability to get confirmation on what we all suspected long ago mean that arrests have been made in a US portion of the troll network?

Some reasons why I have cc’d my personal account (usually bcc) on an email:

- safeguard a copy, suspecting someone will bury, delete, or mischaracterize its content

- creating time stamp in second location

- preserving sequential time line

- documenting failure to respond.
I would only need to use this bcc strategy if insiders with access to my primary email system were untrusted, and liable to alter or destroy evidence. So it’s a window to state of mind.
Susan Rice’s role would have her highly read-in to any threat posed by the incoming administration. So we have an idea she took it seriously.

Also, it’s described as a cc, rather than bcc. So she wanted to warn the suspects that destroyed emails might exist in 2nd source.

My sense is that the Court will bundle this with Zarda and another pro se petition presenting similar textual Civil Rights Act issues under Title VII. I’m ok with shared oral argument, if that happens.
E.g., if ACLU or Lambda has already signed on for one of those cases, I’d be happy to let them argue the CRA, so that I can focus time on the unique-to-4CCA academic immunity question.

Who would consider this remark smart? If your argument is the same whether a tax rate is marginal, or if it applies to total income, your argument’s unmoored from economics, public policy and basic common sense.
On what planet are these 2 things the same:

1) I pay 70% tax on any income I earn over 10 million. The tax on the rest of my income stays the same.

2) As soon as my income crosses 10 M threshold, all my income is taxed at 70%.

The first is the real proposal - “marginal” rate.
So if Dan the Patch genuinely thinks both of these economic outcomes are the same, either to the earner or the public, he is unqualified to represent his constituency.
