Strongest bit of the letter to Theresa May from Tusk and Juncker. Still nothing like strong enough to do her any good.
It's my reading - maybe wrong - but I take that 2nd par to be suggesting that, as they have said it is supposed to be temporary, an ECJ case on a de-facto permanent backstop could be successful.
That's the closest you'd get to something legal I guess. But I can;t imagine many ERG types being convinced that it was safe because of future ECJ cases.
Anyway - nothing has changed, nothing has changed.

It's been a pretty mad day around Westminster today. Good-natured, but full on. Campaigners, preachers, film crews. It's quite chaotic out there.
There is now a large People's Vote march outside parliament making a lot of noise.

Today I got genuine pleasure from putting on a new pair of good socks. This is how it begins, isn't it. The slow and inevitable approach of death.
Next it'll be the Archers, then that overwhelming feeling that change is bad because before change happened you were young.
Then the nursing home, slowly pissing yourself away with nothing to look forward to but a monthly visit from selfish dimwitted offspring.

More absurdity in the Murrison amendment: It states the backstop would cease to hold in December 2022. That is actually the precise date at which it will come into force, because it's when the transition extension times out.
It is tantamount to just getting rid of the backstop.
It is insane. And because it is insane, I expect it to be very popular with Tory MPs.

Last night, the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee voted to approve bills that would narrow Wisconsin's early voting window and strip away some powers from the executive branch and attorney general. Here's @katelynferral's story on the committee vote: madison.com/ct/news/local/…

After Brexit Crunch Wednesday, could we be gearing up for Brexit Biff Bang Wallop Thursday, as Brexiteers try to unseat Theresa May?

Because of course there’s nothing more helpful to the negotiation process than a leadership battle...

In fact, maybe that’s what they’re counting
on: even if they lose the leadership contest and TM remains PM, the mere act of holding it may sweep us too close to Brexit Day to deliver the agreed deal.

So in the Brexiteers’ minds, a contest means a no-deal Brexit by virtue of running the clock out.

Highly devious, if so!
Let’s play this out a little further...

500 agent queries on 3 books over 3 yrs.

I always told them my marginalizations (queer, autistic, mixed race, disabled, mentally ill) cause fuck, you'll see it in the MS.

I thought maybe I was fooling myself w/thinking my books were good.

Then I turned to small
press and got offers w/i months.

My most recent book is on bloody display at The Ripped Bodice (please go buy one there. Support their commitment to real diversity).

I was repeatedly told by agents that my books were *too diverse*.

I'm tired. But I'm not going to quit.
Ppl like Me, Like Sasha, like everyone need to be able to see themselves on page in all the genres they could ever hope to read.

The gatekeepers need to get with the bloody program.

Though I doubt I'll ever be strong enough to query agents again. Not after my exp.

Like usual, @realDonaldTrump is attacking smart black people who disagree with him. Today's installment? Saying that Jay Z and @VanJones68 should be grateful to him for low black unemployment rates.

First, Donald Trump gets zero credit for the strong economy. Take a look at these 2 charts. The recovery started 8 years ago (under a Black president).

And it was propelled forward until now because Janet Yellen insisted on pursuing true full employment.

Trump fired Yellen.
Yellen was most successful Fed chair in history. She pushed unemployment down & kept inflation low. But Trump replaced her with a less qualified man because he wanted to make his mark on the Fed.

So, his taking credit for this economy is really rich.
