**THREAD**

If you have a new store, IG Influencers are going to be the cheapest way to test the market and possibly scale.

See attached of my website and the ad we ran for it. It's one of our better performing ad posts, and the amount I'm paying for impressions is LOW.
Also notice the sustained traffic from this ad (below). The lowest times of this ad running were still higher than most hours of my store from the prior two days.
Here's a step by step guide on what to do, what to look for, and how you can test the market and save money initially:
1. First, find an IG influencer, I'm sure most of you have a profile in mind already, if not, then you need to examine your store and figure out what your target demographic is. What is the audience you're catering to? Why should your audience try your brand out?
2. Once you have an IG influencer in mind, DM them, see if they do ads. If they do, ask for impression and ad history (if any). Influencers *should* have this and this is the #1 thing you should be asking them.
3. Compare the price of their post (typically 24 hours) to how many impressions that will likely get you. More important than not, ask for recent history of ads if possible. Generally, stay away from pages that post like 5-6 ads a day.
4. Gentle note: the ads you are buying are awareness ads. A CPM is cost per one thousand impressions. On FB, for example, my particular store, traditionally we have paid between $8-12/CPM for Awareness ads. So if you're on IG and paying around $1 CPM, you're doing pretty good.
5. One could make the argument that FB ads are more intentful, this could be true, as typically with Awareness ads on FB you can target particular audiences. With IG you're just stuck with who the influencer's followers are.
6. Anyway, once you've made the deal with said influencer, send the content to your IG influencer and schedule it for a time-slot in the morning or during the day. I find the most successful times are between 11-1 Eastern, or 6PM Eastern (personally).
7. Speaking of content, you should try for slideshow posts. Make the first slide (called the face slide) an engaging ad, such as the one reference in my original tweet. And the 2nd-5th pics should be product photos.
8. Your product photos should be clear, concise, and visually appealing. The caption that you provide for the ad should be as authentic as possible... more on that next....
9. In regards to caption, always shout your brand out (so you can gain followers to retarget them later), and always drive them to a link in bio or link in your store. Try to keep your caption short, but with selling points.
10. Example caption: "The guys at @craftoak will make a custom star map of any night for you. Get what the stars looked like when you first met! Free shipping worldwide. Link in bio."
11. These are just some few tips that can hopefully help you, DM or reach out with with any questions. Happy to help anyone.
12. This thread was inspired by @poseidon_ryan, after reading his thread I wanted to share what I knew on IG influencer advertising, too. Spent over 200k with influencers in the past two years, and these are some of the learnings made through countless trial and error.
