JUST IN: Citing security concerns -- "critical departments hamstrung by furloughs" -- @SpeakerPelosi suggests a delay of the State of the Union, scheduled for Tue Jan 29th.
@SpeakerPelosi "I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date [for the State of the Union] after government has re-opened," Pelosi says in letter to Trump.
IS HE UNINVITED????

If they do not "work together" to reschedule, Pelosi suggests Trump could submit his State of the Union address "in writing" on the scheduled date of the speech.
Pelosi's letter notes that from the founding until Woodrow Wilson's presidency, State of the Union messages -- required "from time to time" by the constitution -- were delivered in writing.

What did the president mean when he tweeted this morning that Democrats are so “nuts,” they’re “even stealing people who work at White House”?

It now seems he was referring to at least one former administration staffer who was recently hired by Schiff’s House Intel Committee.
A committee aide confirms to CBS's @Olivia_Gazis that the panel has “hired people with prior experience on the National Security Council staff for oversight of the agencies, and will continue to do so at our discretion.”
The aide adds, “It’s astounding that the President of the United States has time to complain about losing staff to the Committee – perhaps he should work on being a better employer.”

JUST IN: A look at what it costs taxpayers when Trump goes to Mar-a-Lago ...

GAO dug into just four trips over the span of a month at the beginning of Trump's term, Feb 3-Mar 5, 2017.

DOD/DHS costs ran to nearly $13.6 million.
The lion's share of the cost estimate -- some $10.6 million -- is attributed to "operating costs of government aircraft and boats."

Another $3 mil was spent on transportation, lodging, meals, incidental expenses for traveling govt personnel.
For Trump's sons' travel --

The Secret Service spent nearly $400k to protect Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump on three trips, while they traveled to Uruguay, the Dominican Republic and the UAE in early 2017.

2018 has been quite the year for #Huawei. Here is a brief summary of the Chinese telecoms giant's rocky past 12 months:

At this time last year, Huawei had its sights set on entering the US smartphone market, through a deal with AT&T. (1/n)
