I honestly didn't realize this many people didn't know how compromising it is being a prosecutor. It's not about individuals being "bad." Most prosecutors have no discretion, bc they are junior. And you join knowing you're going to have to enforce the bad judgments of others.
Your job is going to require you to charge people with BS crimes and lock them away -- for years. And even if you get more power as you get more senior, you're less likely to use it for good because the office has a corrupting influence on you. That's just institutional bias.
Part of why Krasner has taken the stand that has -- why he has the perspective he has -- is bc he was a public defender. Not a career prosecutor. And let me tell you: After dating a PD for 3 years & hearing all the stories, I wouldn't call much of what happens "justice."
