Today I was meditating on "Wisdom". How we admire and look up to "Wise" people, in every person there is an innate desire to acquire Wisdom. But where does wisdom come from and how can we be wise?

The Bible says in Proverbs 4:6-7, "Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding."

We can have a supernatural understanding that only the Lord can give if we ask for it!

"But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere." James 3:17

Why don't we come to the presence of the Lord today and ask for wisdom?

This is a promise for us TODAY!

Now this wisdom is not for our own glory or to boost our ego, when God gives us wisdom it will be to glorify Him and be an example to others. This God-given wisdom will surely benefit us and those around us.

When you have wisdom from the Lord, you also have a humble spirit. In other words you don't have that "better than others attitude" that most seem to fall for when they possess great knowledge.

Some people might be wondering... Ok I have to seek God and ask for Wisdom, I get it... But how do I do that?

I recommend going to a quiet place, with no distractions. It might be in your room at night, with the door closed or even your car. I make sure to silence my phone so there's no interruptions.. And don't rush into it.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in the prayer, invite and welcome the Holy Spirit to dwell in you. It is very important to repent of the sins you have committed, knowingly or unknowingly that way your prayer won't be hindered. Your heart has to be in a state of surrender.

I like adding this verse to my prayers from time to time:

Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.

Ask forgiveness for every thought, every spoken word that does not please the Father. Plead the blood of Jesus over you and accept His gift of forgiveness. Also place every burden and worry on the Lord because He cares for you and will provide a way.

Now we are in God's throne. Made new, the enemy can't hold our sins against us no more, the accuser has been SILENCED. All that God sees now is a beautiful child without blemish because Jesus through His sacrifice in the cross carried our sins, our worries, sickness...

Now we can ask the Lord to give us of His supernatural wisdom, ask the Lord to show us His will in our lives so we can stop wasting our time in things that bear no fruit, and fulfill the destiny that the Lord has prepared for us.

We can proceed to receive wisdom and thank the Lord for giving it to us! God answers our prayers immediately, he sends the answer. It might take a little while for us to see it in the physical realm but you have to believe that it is done.

I encourage each one of you to find time this weekend and come before the presence of the Lord. He has his arms wide open and LONGS to have a relationship with you and grant the desires of your heart... And if you are looking for wisdom, wisdom begins with God and ends with God.
