Some of these primary sources and Murdoch insider news providers were extremely difficult to track down, requiring as much as 20 minutes at public libraries in Canberra, London and New York City. It was a brutal and tireless slog along those air-conditioned book shelves.

Keep in mind when many of these early books were written, culture of bribery, pay-offs and corruption in media/politics existed, particularly at Murdoch's biggest newspapers. That criminals could buy silence from a media company by becoming a major ad client seen as 'yeah, so?'

The system of bribing public officials, police and politicians is one Rupert Murdoch claims he 'inherited' from previous owners of News of the World when he bought the British media company in 1968. But Murdoch continued using the illegal, criminal system. Then he went to the US.

When Rupert Murdoch was welcomed to New York City's White Collar Crime society by mob lawyer and Roger Stone-Paul Manafort mentor Roy Cohn in the mid-1970s, Rupert willingly played along, again, using established system of providing pay-offs and jobs to fast-track his ambitions.

Rupert, Manafort, Stone and Roy Cohn got Reagan into White House. Campaign aides, friends of Stone-Manafort, got White House jobs. When Stone-Manafort opened "Washington Lobbying Firm", Rupert's @NewsCorp hired them to lobby/bribe White House for waivers to expand Murdoch media.
