A thread about a @UKLabour member who is also a trade union official.

Sam Vickers @sambfawu is a member of Barnsley East CLP. He was suspended in 2016 but readmitted.

He is Yorkshire Regional Organiser of the Bakers, Food & Allied Workers Union (BAFWU)

Sam came to my attention because i noticed that he had just been trolling Luciana @lucianaberger after she called attention to the case of Prof David Miller.

Sam demanded that Luciana prove evidence of antisemitism in Labour & appeared to defend Prof Millar.

Sam Vickers then made an allegation that @lucianaberger was drawing attention to antisemitism as part of an organised campaign to undermine Labour.

This is very likely antisemitic as it makes mendacious claims about Jews as a collective.

A brief look at Sam's twitter history reveals he is of course obsessed with the evil of Israel and Zionism and sees conspiracy when the Venezuelan govt is under scrutiny.

In one of his many tweets about all things Israel and Jewish, Sam saw fit to repeat the disgusting comments by Mark Serwotka that the fight against LAbour antisemitism is a conspiracy by Israel. It's unlikely that Sam was here siding with the view expressed by the JC.

Sam also recently choose to defend the antisemitic Malaysian govt, as any good socialist internationalist would do.

Here we have Sam defending Hamas (though he is unable to spell it's name correctly) by stating that Hamas is no better or worse than any other legitimate, state army.

Which is of course an interesting perspective given that the military wing or Hamas is proscribed under UK law as a terrorist organisation. Whether there are criminal charges relevant here or not i have no idea.

But here is Sam's finest hour.

Here he clears his throat, says "I'm not antisemitic" and then shares a blatantly antisemitic post about "Rothschild Owned banks" from an extreme right wing conspiracy theory site.

The article that Sam Vickers posted contains this antisemitic statement.

And the article that Sam Vickers posted also repeats the classic antisemites line that Syria is the result of Rothschild conspiracy.

So - I'm now asking that @BarnsleyEastCLP (whose tweets are interestingly protected - very odd indeed) and @bfawu1 respond immediately to these serious antisemitic posts by someone who is both a Labour Party member and a BFAWU official.

As another little postscript, i decided to spend just 5 mins looking at @sambfawu FB history.
What a surprise that he posted antisemitic material there too. Shocked i am, i tell you. Shocked.
