#Thread Now is NOT the time for ridiculous partisan chicanery or fighting amongst ourselves. We have multiple emergent threats: RU, China, DPRK, & IRAN, not to mention the Terrorist problem in the Middle East. We are at a critical aperture defenseone.com/threats/2019/0… via @defenseone

2.) In our Nation's Geopolitical future. We should be taxing ourselves as much as humanly possible so that we may achieve some mission critical goals. We MUST upgrade our National infrastructure-if we don't bring our Grid & infrastructure into the 21st Century we are in grave

3.) Danger every single day because any one of those Nation States could throw the country into total blackout via cyberattack on our Grid & SCADA Systems. We have Gov. Offices still running Win XP for God's sakes...A blackout, if done properly could last for a year or more which

4.) Would cost millions of lives-in fact there's a good possibility we wouldn't recover.

We MUST upgrade our Military & outspend, out innovate, & out invent our opposition. With the Advent of AI, whoever masters it's use militarily first will likely control the future battles.

5.) China is Fielding Satellite killer missiles which would render our technologically advanced military useless. They take down satellites & we are blind, deaf, & dumb on the battlefield, in the air, & on the sea... Sitting ducks. Russia is producing Hypersonic Nuclear Missiles

6.) Which render our AEGIS & THAAD missile defenses useless...If we don't pour billions into r&d, acquisition, & training to maintain the initiative despite those enemy advances then we are already dead.

We're at a juncture like the one we ignored immediately preceding WW2. We

7.) Can either bite the bullet & ask our Pol's to increase our taxes & find innovative new ways to raise massive amounts of money to fund a Technological Sprint in our Infrastructure, Military, Education, & I.T. sectors like we did during WW2 & the years directly following it, or

8.) We can get used to the idea that our Republic is dying...It's that simple. We should be taxing, paying off debt, & spending massive amounts in R&D in each of those sectors in order to be 20-30 years ahead of our closest Enemies, while providing our citizens a society worth

9.) Working, Sacrificing, & Dying for. In this world, especially in our particular Geopolitical situation, you're either leading the pack or you're dying...Which one is it going to be? #MinutesToMidnight
