James Woolsey Island can be a cold, dark, lonely place at times. I was ready to call it quits, but things are starting to heat up.

I got a follow from Gen Flynn last night after I posted this thread.
And then STUinSD drops this bomb today.

So I will resist the sirens' call of "Russia, Russia, Russia" and press on.

I was a stubborn kid. Got suspended from Kings college,always in trouble in Navy Abeokuta. But stubborn kids are great because we also face failure with a resolute no.Years of stubbornness teaches you to say no to obstacles. ❤️ stubborn kids who grow up to face life positively

I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

September was 🔥 on the Sun! It released 31 sizable solar flares and several coronal mass ejections in just 5 days. We and our partners are always watching the Sun, so we saw these events from several perspectives. Thread 👇
First things first: A solar flare is powerful burst of light radiation, and intense flares can interfere with communications.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) is a cloud of solar material + magnetic fields. They can spark #aurora.
Now for the space pictures! @NOAASatellites' #GOES16 watches the Sun in 6 different wavelengths. These images show an X9.3 solar flare on Sept. 6. (This was the most intense flare of the current solar cycle!)
