The irrationality of airlines is perhaps what comes closest to unvarnished stupidity on this earth. What depraved mind could have thought that what you need in a crowded airplane is a trolley being moved along with execrable coffee and other foodstuffs?
Thereby managing to block the way, spill coffee, hit people’s knees - and necessitating highly-paid staff to push the thing along. And this when all kinds of drinks and food are available next to the gate and can freely be carried inside
Then we have the mystery of bins. These should obviously be placed row-wise so people stow them while outside the aisle - saving perhaps 20 minutes of boarding time - and easily access them in flight
But why have bins at all? If all carry in luggage is left at the door you suddenly eliminate bins altogether and can have two bunks of seats in coach with enough space to lie down
The fact that luggage occupies more metric space inside the cabin of an airplane than human beings is so intolerably stupid as to call for the internment of those responsible
