Follow me here: In 2017, VA House of Delegates elections ended with 50 Repubs, 49 Dems, and 1 tied race. 1/
That tied race, in Newport News, was decided when elections officials pulled the Republican’s name out of a ceramic bowl. thehill.com/homenews/state… 2/
So, Repubs hold a 51-49 edge in the state House. If Northam, Fairfax & Herring all resign, Republican Speaker Kirk Cox would become governor. 3/

Some takeaways from early voting: Turnout is up. Not a little, a lot. Younger voters AND older voters. Whites AND non-whites. Dems AND Repubs. (Though groups that favor Dems are up by higher percentages, generally speaking) (1/10)

Several Repubs ran on flight bans from Ebola-infected countries in 2014, despite warnings from CDC and every other public health group that such a ban would actually increase the death count. 1/?

Mark Herring called for Northam to resign just 4 days ago over his admitted use of blackface while in college. Now Herring is admitting he did the same, so the logic is clear even to the Dems, Herring must step down now also.
I'm not passing judgement on Herring because of a stupid mistake he made 30 years ago in his youth, but when he judged Northam for the very same sin, he convicted himself. The Dems are good at one thing, ignoring their own crimes.

1) Let's stipulate that the Ds are trying to force him out because of his remarks on video, widely circulated about their support of infanticide, despite the fact that horrible bill failed in the VA Legislature.
Suddenly this racist yearbook photo shows up appears as if it was leaked by Ds, to force Northam out and change convo. While many have had fun making fun of this. Let's not lose focus. This is about @theDemocrats @PPFA and 💰💰💰
All of the Ds are pressuring Northam to "do the right thing" and resign. VA has a D Lt. Gov, so no risk there, right? Today it seems Northam isn't with the program, having employed the Shaggy Defense "It wasn't me" after apologizing yesterday, how long do you think he'll fight?

I'm at Water's Edge Brewery in Lake Ridge, Virginia tonight. Six of the seven VA House of Delegates seats here are held by Republicans. Tonight, that may change wildly.
Those seats in Prince William County, Virginia's second most populous, are a test of the anti-Trump grassroots movements spurred on by the Democratic party and progressive groups.
Of 8 groups, like @MoveOn, @BoldProgressive and @TheDLCC, that made endorsements in VA House races, 41% of their endorsements came to six Democrats challenging Republican incumbents in this county.
